A leader in the upstream services segment, Shiv-Vani offers a full spectrum of drilling operations including shot-hole drilling, well drilling and workover. Besides shot hole drilling and seismic surveying, the company has extensive experience in drilling exploration, appraisal and production wells ranging from 1,500 to 5,000 mt in depth. We operate 21 onshore rigs, including one with a top drive system, which facilitates faster drilling and augments operational efficiency. Shiv-Vani owns one of the largest fleets of onshore rigs in India with the drilling capacity ranging from 450 to 2000 HP. Depending on the reserves available, our rigs are capable of drilling wells up to a maximum depth of 6,000 metre, while the technologically advanced DTH rigs can drill through hard rocks and boulder beds. Shiv-Vani also specialises in directional drilling including oilfield directional drilling, horizontal directional drilling and in-seam directional drilling (coal bed methane).

Shiv-Vani has extensively invested in shot hole drilling and our 233-strong fleet of truck-mounted, heli and portable rigs are well-equipped to carry out intricate operations in varied terrains ranging from mountains to marshland and dense forests. Shot-hole drilling is the first exploratory activity to identify hydrocarbon reserves and rigs are used to drill holes of varying depths (usually 15 to 30 mt) in order to carry out seismic surveys and data acquisition activities. The field season is approximately nine months as no drilling activities are undertaken during the monsoon.

Shiv-Vani has successfully drilled more than 4 million metres of shot holes with depths varying from 20 to 50 metre. All our operations are carried out in strict compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations. The company has a well-defined Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) in place to ensure optimum utilization of equipment. Half-yearly inspections by Third Party Inspectors like OES, BV and MODUSPEC also help us conform to industry best practices and meet the expectations of our national & international clients.

The company's deep drilling rigs - National-110-UE (1500 HP) and Ideco-E-2100 (2000 HP), can be detached into modules of less then 15 tonnes for easy transportation to logistically difficult terrain. We also own high-performance and fast-moving mobile rigs, with 80% of rig items on wheels for maximum flexibility.

Shiv-Vani is a registered member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and all its rigs are listed with this premier organization for LTA (Lost Time Accident) certification.
