Shiv-Vani owns the latest in seismic recording systems (24-bit technology) along with in-house capability for processing and interpreting 2D & 3D seismic data. Each team member is equipped with fully integrated and advanced DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) for accurate surveys. The company conducts high resolution seismic surveys for different energy sources and details shallow and complicated targets such as salt dome boundaries, lignite beds and glacial disturbances. Depending on clients' requirements, we also use RF and wireline technology for recording.

The company employs high-end technology which has greatly enhanced data acquisition capabilities and offers improved sub-surface imaging in logistically difficult and geologically complex areas. We have acquired more than 3000 G.L.K. (Ground Line Kilometre) of seismic data in diverse terrain conditions - ranging from rugged mountains and marshy jungles to river valleys and transition zones. The project areas covered include over 350 G.L.K. in the Himalayan foothills, over 550 G.L.K. across rivers and over 450 G.L.K. Special equipment such as air guns and cascaded hydro-phones had been used during a 2D seismic survey in the Krishna Godawri Basin, as most of the work was performed over rivers or wetlands.
